8-10-02

Well, there's some good news and some bad news. The bad is that DOM is going on indefinite hiatus. The good news is that the reason it's being put on hold is that I'm working on maps for the great project Freedoom. You should check it out and see if you can do to contribute, it's gonna be a gigantic and incredible project once completed.

Currently I'm assigned to three maps on the project, Maps 10 and 28 for Doom 2 and E3M2 for Ultimate Doom. The only one I've started is 10, and it's coming along very nicely. It's probably the best map I've done so far. This is partially because I learn something new every time I open up WadAuthor. I uploaded a small small beta of Map 10 there, download it and all the resources wads, let me know what you think. 

I'll use this page as an update page for my Freedoom maps as well as continuing to update about DOM, when I decide to continue working on it.

7-17-02

Uh, check that E1M4 will probably be done by the end of the week, not the end of the summer as I had said last update. The reason for this is I've worked on it a whole lot this week, and so now it's about 75% complete. And to tell the truth, I couldn't be happier with the way it's coming out. I'm usually pretty modest about things, but this level is extremely cool in that it really gives the impression that you are in a 3d setting because of the silent teleports and the fact that you can view areas you have already been in from other points in the level...enough babble...just wait for the final product ;)

7-06-02

Not too much work on DOM recently, E1M4 is progressing pretty well though and hopefully will be done by the end of the summer. I'm out of town almost all of July with occaisional days at home (like this one).

Also, it seems no one has volunteered to make E1M2 (the crate level), as I had thought, so it's some box-making fun for me.
